03/11/2005: "Home sales off from last November"
LATEST NEWS
The Denver Business Journal - 10:27 AM MST Monday
The number of single-family homes and condominiums sold in the Denver area this month declined from a year earlier, but the amount of million-dollar houses that traded hands jumped.
Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage compiled the data from information provided by Metrolist Inc., but cautions the numbers may not reflect all sales in the area.
Coldwell Banker says 4,222 single-family homes and condos were sold in November, which amounted to a 7.1 percent decrease from November 2004 sales. Those homes that sold fetched a higher price. The average sales price for all residential properties was $281,000, or a 5.7 percent increase from last November.
The real estate company said 54 homes sold in November with a price of more than $1 million, compared to 37 million-dollar homes last year, an increase of 45.9 percent.
Coldwell Banker has more than 2,000 real estate agents along the Front Range. The company is a subsidiary of Cendant Corp. (NYSE: CD).
